Victory for Eva in Malmö triathlon

The first edition of AXA Malmö Triathlon was settled yesterday, Sunday in the area around the Western Harbour in Malmö. This was the third of four races of the AXA Swedish Cup in triathlon 2012 The distance was Olympic, that is 1500 meters swim, 40 km cycling and 10 km of running. The same distance and conditions with draftig on the bike as the Swedish Championship in Arvika two weeks ago. Then managed to I win the silvermedal. Yesterday in Malmö, I won by over three minutes against the same girls. Swimming was OK, and one of the finest swimming courses I have ever experienced in Sweden. The Öresund Bridge behind and clear water. After the swimming, I was as usual a few minutes after the two top girls, this time it was around 3 min 45 sec. But after the first of four laps on the bike, we ( me and another girl) had picking up a minute on the leading group. And when it was 5 km from the transition, we had caught up with the leaders. We was four girls who came together in to transition 2 from bike to run. I was the third girl out of the transition ou on the run but after a couple of hundred meters, I had past the two other girls and could run for the victory. I won by three minutes before the swedish champion at the distance. /Eva Read more at www.svensktriathlon.org Full results http://apps.svensktriathlon.org/competitionresults.asp?type=details&competition_id=489&language=1
